Sri Shiva Ratri Celebration was held at Brahmananda Bhavana Shrine on 6th March, 2008 which included special puja and devotional songs from 8 p.m. onwards. It came to an end at 2.15 a.m.

The 173rd Birth Day Celebration of Sri Ramakrishna was held on 9th March, 2008. The programme included procession and the meeting which included chanting, readings, songs and speeches etc. Sri Sambuddha Basu of 1st year class spoke. Arrangements were made for Special Puja and Bhajana as usual in the Brahmananda Bhavana Shrine. About 100 devotees took prasada (lunch).

The Birthday of Sri Chaitanya was celebrated on 20th March, 2008 at Gouranga Bhavana Shrine. Special Puja, Bhajanas, Ram-nam etc. were arranged during the whole day.

Swami Nikhileswarananda Maharaj, Head, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara spoke on "Value Education" on 3rd March, 2008 at our College Hall.

Prof. Gurupada Das, Argonne University, USA delivered a lecture on ‘Cosmology and Philosophy’ on 10th March, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the College Hall. The welcoming address was given by Principal Maharaj and vote of thanks was given by Dr. Bijoy Bera.

Sri Prolayankar Bhattacharyya was invited as a Resource Person to the Refresher Course of the Department of Philosophy, CU, on 10th March, 2008. He delivered lecture on ‘Political Philosophy’.

Dr. Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay delivered a lecture on ‘Constructibility - An old Enigma’ at Barasat Government College on 19th March, 2008. It was a State Level DST sponsored seminar on science awareness.

Exhibition : The Biennial Exhibition of the College was inaugurated by Swami Asaktanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of our Ashrama, at 11 a.m. on 28th February, 2008. The monastic members chanted and the students blew conches. The Exhibition continued upto 2nd March, 2008. The students from different colleges visited the Exhibition. Through efficient demonstration of the exhibits the students roused immense academic interests in all visitors. Under the supervision of the Faculty Members, students have successfully arranged the Quizes, Puzzles, Games, Charts and so on. On all the three days of Exhibition the students enjoyed popular film shows. They also presented cultural programmes.
