Ramakrishna Mission Residential College (Autonomous), Narendrapur is not an exception either. The college library started its journey way back in 1963 merely with a few amirah of books. With the passage of time, it has grown bigger and better in all senses - documents, users and staff (the Trinity of library). Over the years it has seen many changes, has shifted from one place to another a number of times, but yet, it has retained its weightage.
The library system in Residential College, Narendrapur consists of main college library and several departmental seminar libraries. The library has a significantly large collection of books, journals, magazines, newspapers and other resources. At present, the collection includes about 76000 books, more than 40 printed journals and magazines and many online journals and e books. Sound infrastructure including state of the art technologies is the back bone of this library. A team of young and enthusiastic library staff have made it envying to the other college libraries. Intellectually brilliant users are its driving force to excel further. The main mission of this library is to satisfy its parent body i.e. the college. But, the x-factor is the higher authority that always endeavours to take it to the next level. In a nutshell, it is the learning resources centre of the Ramakrishna Mission Residential College (Autonomous), Narendrapur.
