Rules and Regulations:

       a. Timing of Issue and Return : Monday to Friday (for Students) from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm;

  3.   b. Library books meant to be returned / issued should be presented to the circulation counter at least 15 minutes earlier than scheduled closing time of the same;

  4.    c. The circulation counter will remain closed after 1:30 pm every Saturday.

  5.    d. Requisitions for books against card issue will be received from 10:30 am to 1 pm every day except Saturday.

  6.   e. The timing of issue of books is from 1 pm to 4:30 pm of the day of giving requisitions and the next day from 10:30 am to 1 pm.

  7. 2. A user has to return a book before the scheduled date of return if the book is urgently required by the library.

  8. 3. A fine of Re. 1 is to be charged per book per day overdue (daily issue) and regarding long term issue (book bank) overdue fee @ Re.1/- per volume per day will be charged for the first seven days and Rs.2/- per volume per day from the eighth day onwards.

  9. 4. If the dates of return of books fall during a long vacation (e.g. Puja Vacation or Summer Vacation), they must be returned within 3 days from the day of re-opening of the college after the vacation.

  10. 5. Books written in, underlined or otherwise defaced or damaged must be replaced (or may be paid at a rate to be determined by the library).

  11. 6. Books lost must be replaced (by same edition or any of the subsequent editions) or paid 1.5 times of the price of the latest edition.

  12. 7. Borrowers must examine the physical condition of the books before borrowing and bring to the notice of the circulation section any defect in a book, otherwise, if any mutilation, defacement or damage be subsequently detected, the person to whom the book was issued last will be held responsible for such damage.

  13. 8. Loose numbers or bound volumes of periodicals, books from reading room and reference books are not issued on loan.

  14. 9. Books will be issued and delivered to a registered member in person.

  15. 10. If the book is one of a set or series, and the volume cannot be obtained singly, the whole set or series must be replaced at the User’s cost.

  16. 11. A user (st is entitled to keep maximum 2 books with him against his borrower’s card for 2 weeks at a time.

  17. 12. The permanent staff members who are supplied with books from the library can in no way retain books beyond a year.

  18. 13. A sum of Rs. 30 will be charged for the loss of a library card.

  19. 14. Before leaving the college permanently or for a long time a member will have to clear all his library dues.
